Mubashir Lucman in his show few days back shocked the Pakistani nation about the contents their children are reading in their schools and that too in an age of 12 or 13 years.
The first issues raised were the exclusion of Islamiat as a subject. The majority of Pakistanis in the past have read Islamiat as a compulsory subject but it is gone from the books.
The Punjab government has replaced Islamiat with study of comparative religion. Now there is no big issue in it. The Quran also tells us to gather knowledge and compare it with the one Quran offers.
It is a good thing but the issue is how you are writing about Islam and how you are representing other religions. When you are telling all the good things about other religions and demoting Islam then how come the next generation will be on Islam. The next big issue is the sensitive material education which needs to be stopped immediately. This age group is not acceptable to be taught such material. In the west the minimum age is 18 for the students to be taught subject of sensitive nature. Which parent will allow you to teach his 12 year old kid how the sperm fuses? Why is abortion not dangerous and unethical? Few of the parents made live calls on this program and showed deep concerns over these two issues. Let the kids grow first and then teach them such sensitive material. At this age this teaching will destroy their lives forever.
